1394 Topology Viewer


The Pionsys® 1394 Topology Viewer is based on the Pionsys® IEEE1394 bus driver and is used for the visualization of IEEE1394 busses and devices as well as for controlling of IEEE1394 cameras. It provides basic information about the currently connected IEEE1394 busses and allows to control and to read out the connected IEEE1394 devices.
Contrarily to the Pionsys® 1394Topolyzer and the Pionsys® 1394Devolyzer, the Pionsys® 1394 Topology Viewer does not contain the Pionsys® 1394 Bus-API. Therefore it is not being used for development of dedicated IEEE1394 applications but as a simple tool for the visualization and usage of IEEE1394 busses.

1394 Device-API


The Pionsys® 1394 Device-API is based on the Pionsys® IEEE1394 device driver and provides the access to any IEEE1394 device (e.g. cameras, hard discs, measurement devices, ...). The Pionsys® IEEE1394 device driver therefore is installed for any IEEE1394 device which is to be controlled.
Based on the IEEE1394 drivers in Microsoft Windows, the Pionsys® IEEE1394 device driver and the Pionsys® 1394 Device-API allow highest compatibility in combination with a maximum of functionality.

1394 Bus-API


The Pionsys® 1394 Bus-API is based on the Pionsys® IEEE1394 bus driver and provides the access to any IEEE1394 device (e.g. cameras, hard discs, measurement devices, ...) without additional driver installation. The Pionsys® IEEE1394 bus driver is installed only once into the system and allows the access to any IEEE1394 devices afterwards.
Based on the IEEE1394 drivers in Microsoft Windows, the Pionsys® IEEE1394 bus driver and the Pionsys® 1394 Bus-API allow highest compatibility in combination with a maximum of functionality.

1394Topolyzer


The Pionsys® 1394Topolyzer is used for visualization and analysis of all currently connected IEEE1394 devices. It is based on the Pionsys® 1394 Bus-API and allows the user to visualize his IEEE1394 busses, in which detailed information about the current IEEE1394 busses and devices is displayed. Diverse visualizations may be selected in order to visualize the current topology and to receive all necessary information.
The Pionsys® 1394Topolyzer contains the Pionsys® 1394 Bus-API as well as all of its components. The provided information supports the user during all levels of development and therefore reduces both development costs and time-to-market.

1394Devolyzer


The Pionsys® 1394Devolyzer is used for visualization, analysis, controlling and testing of all currently connected IEEE1394 devices. It is based on the Pionsys® 1394 Bus-API and provides a lot of functions in order to access connected IEEE1394 devices. The provided functionalities range from a simple visualization of the current topology to intelligent dialogs which acquire all necessary information.
Documented software interfaces allow the implementation of additional, arbitrarily complex IEEE1394 functionalities. Due to the extremely low effort for the implementation, these interfaces are ideally suitable for fast development of prototypes, feasibility studies or hardware developments.
The Pionsys® 1394Devolyzer contains the Pionsys® 1394 Bus-API as well as all of its components. The provided functionalities and interfaces allow a fast implementation of almost any application specific tasks during all levels of development and therefore also very flexible and fast solutions.

CMS X-Tools 

Since 2002, Pionsys® IT GmbH develops a PC-based measurement and analysis system for the Siemens AG. The PC software is named "CMS X-Tools" and supports the following major functionality:

  • modular interfaces for the acquisition of measurement data from different sources
  • visualization of all data via different monitoring modules (e.g. time series, bars, 2-dimensional vectors, ...)
  • storing of currently acquired (online-)data and loading of (offline-)data from files
  • further calculation of (online- und offline-)data via flexible models (graphical) and scripts (text based)
  • optional interface to the Siemens MindSphere cloud for the upload and download of key values

Pionsys® plays a major role in the specification, development, user manual and system test of X-Tools - and, therefore, we have a lot of detailed know-how. We also were on-site at a lot of users and also know the users' point of view.
X-Tools as well as the other SIPLUS CMS components can be ordered directly at Pionsys®. For our customers we offer direct support for all components which have been ordered via us. The producer of all SIPLUS CMS components and of the CMS X-Tools is the Siemens AG.
Pionsys® can support the creation of system concepts and the commissioning. In addition, we also offer training for the operating personnel.
For sites which can be readed via the Internet, Pionsys® also can take over the automatic monitoring (e.g. in order to send a notification in case a system becomes offline or ran into an error).
Pionsys® can implement the interfaces to new devices and additional plug-ins (e.g. additional Analyzing Functions, ...).

In addition to the primary area of application of X-Tools (monitoring of industrial plants and components), Pionsys® also offers adaptations for further applications. Examples:

  • aerosmart  Acquisition and analysis of the operating parameters of heat pumps
  • EIB  Acquisition and analysis of the operating parameters of EIB/KNX installations
  • + further adaptations on request
